Usman Salahuddin has established himself as a mainstay in the Pakistan Under-19 team's middle order, and was the team's top run-getter in the one-day series against England in 2007. The subsequent home one-day matches against Australia saw Salahuddin remain unconquered in three innings, with a best of 68 not, which came off just 50 balls. If he continues consistently in the same vein, Salahuddin could be his idol Mohammad Yousuf's successor in Pakistan's senior line-up.
